Agreement

By creating an account or using ankrd, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

ankrd is a capture-first productivity app. You can talk or type thoughts; we use AI to organise them into tasks, goals, reflections, and schedules. Features may change as we improve the product.

Your account

You must provide a valid email and keep your password secure.
You are responsible for activity under your account.
You must be at least 16 years old to use ankrd.
One person per account unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Your content

You keep ownership of the text and data you submit. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content solely to run the service — including sending capture text to our AI provider for parsing, coaching, and scheduling suggestions.

AI features

ankrd uses AI to parse captures, suggest focus, break down tasks, coach reflections, and generate quotes. Output may be inaccurate or incomplete — use your own judgment.
Reflection coaching and mindset nudges are for focus and executive functioning support only. They are not medical, psychological, or crisis support. If you need professional help, contact a qualified provider or emergency services.
We do not guarantee that AI responses will meet any particular outcome.

Calendar sync

If you use calendar sync, you receive a personal subscribe link. Anyone with that link can read your scheduled ankrd items. Keep it private. We are not responsible for how third-party calendar apps store or display synced data.

Acceptable use

Do not use ankrd to break the law, harass others, upload malware, attempt unauthorised access, or abuse the service in ways that harm us or other users. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Ending your account

You can export your data and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or pose a security risk. On deletion, your stored data is permanently removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

Availability and liability

ankrd is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other rights that cannot be excluded under UK law.

Changes

We may update these terms or the service. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
